We are pleased to announce the winner of the Emutex Software Innovator of the Year Scholarship for 2015 as Christopher Kelly.

Christopher is a leaving certificate student at Crescent College Comprehensive SJ in Limerick. 

He developed a very innovative “Farming Drone” solution which, using a near infrared technology, provides useful feedback re soil fertility to farmers who are considering fertilising their crops to improve crop yields.

We would like also to congratulate Deirdre Corr, a fourth year student at the Dublin Institute of Technology, as runner-up of the competition. She developed the "Sleep Apnoea Detector", a cheap alternative to already existing detectors on the market, for identifying sleep apnoea patterns observed when a person suffering from Sleep Apnoea is sleeping.
