Emutex is delighted to announce the launch of the Emutex Software Innovator of the Year Scholarship 2015.
The purpose of our scholarship, since it was launched in 2012, is to attract more students in Ireland towards careers in Embedded Software Engineering, a domain full of exciting opportunity.
We are asking students to submit an idea that will make a positive difference in the real-world. The idea must require a Linux based embedded software and hardware system to implement it. Once the deadline for submissions has closed on the 12th of December, we will select three finalists who will be given the hardware required to build a prototype of their project. The winning student will be awarded a €2000 scholarship in April 2015 to help fund their future education. Our 2014 winner, Gerard Prunty of UCC, sent a sensor system by weather balloon to the Earth's Stratosphere attracting International media coverage. He captured some amazing footage of the journey which you can see in the project article at http://www.emutexlabs.com/project/213-the-weather-balloon-stratosphere-flight. This scholarship is aimed towards undergraduate students, in all years, in Computer Software Engineering and Science disciplines. Interested students can find out more information about the scholarship by visiting our scholarship website at scholarship.emutex.com.
